I will be adding recipes from my kitchen over time.
Please bear with me while this site evolves. I also hope to gather Amma's (my
mother's) recipes in electronic form and post them on the blog. This will be a
labor of love that cannot be completed in short order.
Having lived in the U.S. for a long time, I've adapted some of my recipes to use the local ingredients/brands. If something is not available or is unfamiliar, please feel free to substitute. We all know that the joy of cooking lies in creativity and experimentation!
I do have to issue
fair warning that I’m an unconventional cook who will attempt to “redefine”
traditional recipes in some way. I also have to add that I’ve become somewhat
of a “fitness freak”, and will therefore try to avoid foods high in sugar and
fat content as much as possible!Having lived in the U.S. for a long time, I've adapted some of my recipes to use the local ingredients/brands. If something is not available or is unfamiliar, please feel free to substitute. We all know that the joy of cooking lies in creativity and experimentation!
Please feel free to post comments, variations and suggestions. Happy cooking and healthy eating to all!
